NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at 6:30 PM on TUESDAY, February 9, 2016, the City Council of the City of Beaverton will hold a public hearing to consider the legislative amendments described below. The City Council will meet at the Beaverton City Hall Council Chambers, located on the first floor of The Beaverton Building at 12725 SW Millikan Way, Beaverton, Oregon.
CPA2015-0003 (Housing Chapter) / CPA2015-0004 (Introduction)
The City of Beaverton proposes to amend Volume 1 of the Comprehensive Plan by adopting an updated Housing Chapter and Introduction, repealing and replacing the existing text, in order to provide a more user-friendly format and to reflect recent planning efforts, demographic changes, land supply, and future housing needs. The proposal also amends Volume 2 (Background and Supporting Documents) by adding the Housing Strategies Report.
Approval criteria for Comprehensive Plan Amendments include: 1.5.1.A-D of the Comprehensive Plan.
You may review a copy of the staff report and all other documents related to the proposed amendments at the City’s Community Development Department Public Counter, located on the 4th floor of City Hall, on or after February 2, 2016 (at least 7 days prior to the City Council hearing date). Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The staff report will also be available on the City’s public web site at http://apps.beavertonoregon.gov/DevelopmentProjects/
Failure to raise an issue in a hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to afford the decision-making authority an opportunity to respond to such issue, may preclude appeal to the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA). To be addressed in the staff report, written comments on the above proposed ordinance actions shall be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2016.
