INVITATION TO BID: ELM WAY SIDEWALKS IMPROVEMENTS
EAGLE POINT, OR
Bids due: March 15, 2016 @ 2:00 pm
Sealed bids for the construction of the Elm Way Sidewalks Improvements, City of Eagle Point in Jackson County, Oregon will be received by Robert Miller, Public Works Director, at 17 S. Buchanan, P. O. Box 779 Eagle Point, OR 97524, until 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 15, 2016, and then at said office publically opened and read aloud. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. All interested parties are invited to attend. Subcontractor declarations must be delivered to the City of Eagle Point at address above no later than 4:00 pm on the day of the bid opening.
A brief description of the scope of work is provided below:
Demolition and Site Preparation, Sidewalks, Curb and Gutter, Access Curb Ramps, Asphalt Patching, Residential Drive ways.
Bidding documents may be examined at the City of Eagle Point, P. O. Box 779/17 S. Buchanan Avenue, Eagle Point, OR, 97524, phone (541) 826-4212, and on the City of Eagle Point website at cityofeaglepoint.org. Bidding documents may also be examined at the Daily Journal of Commerce, and at the Medford Builder’s Exchange. Bidders must be listed on a plan holders list by contacting the City of Eagle Point. Any addenda will be issued to interested parties listed on the plan holders list.
No bid will be considered unless fully completed in the manner provided in the Instruction to Bidders for the project, and accompanied by a bid security, executed in favor of the City, in the amount not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid. Bidders must prequalify with the City of Eagle Point at least 5 (five) days prior to bid opening. ODOT prequalifications are accepted.
This contract is for public work and is subject to provisions of ORS. 279C.800 to 279C.870 regarding prevailing wage rates. This project is subject to BOLI prevailing wage. Licensing under ORS 468A.720 is not required.
All Bidders are encouraged to contact the City to visit the site to fully acquaint themselves with the facilities involved, difficulties and restrictions for full performance of the contract.
