INVITATION TO BID: DESCHUTES COUNTY ROAD SHOP TENANT IMPROVEMENTS

Deschutes County (hereinafter referred to as “Owner”) will receive bids for the tenant improvements of an 8,000-square-foot area in an office building located in the downtown area of Bend, Oregon.
Work: The project consists of minor interior demolition and remodel of a one-story, approximately 5,000-squarefoot area of space within a larger combined shop/office building at the
County Road Department complex. Interior spaces include large meeting/lunch room, rebuilt restrooms
with multiple toilet stalls and showers, and conversion of former garage space to a locker area. The facility is located at 61150 S.E. 27th Street, Bend, Oregon. 120 days are allocated for substantial completion.
Bid Deadline: Bids must be submitted no later than 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016, to Susan Ross, Deschutes County Property & Facilities Director, at the Property & Facilities Department Office located at 14 N.W. Kearney, Bend, Oregon, or mailed to P.O. Box 6005, Bend, Oregon 97708. Bids received after this time will not be considered. Facsimile and electronic format bids will not be accepted. Bids will be opened at 2 PM on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the same location. All bids for the above project will be publicly opened and read aloud. Subcontractor Disclosure shall be submitted no later than 4 p.m. on the same date in a separate envelope and shall be clearly marked, “SUBCONTRACTOR DISCLOSURE FOR ROAD TENANT IMPROVEMENTS.” The official bid clock is located in the office of the Deschutes County Property & Facilities Department, 14 NW Kearney, Bend, Oregon.
Bids shall be made on the forms furnished by Owner, incorporating all contract documents, including all addenda and the Bid Bond or Cashier’s Check for the minimum amount of 10 percent of the Bid Price. The envelope shall be clearly marked “CONSTRUCTION BID FOR ROAD TENANT IMPROVEMENTS” and shall contain the name and address of the bidder.
Since this project is for a public work, it is subject to the state prevailing rates of wage under ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. No bids will be received or considered by Owner unless the bid contains a
statement by the bidder that the bidder will comply with the provisions of ORS 279C.838 or 279C.840, “Payment of prevailing rate of wage; posting of rates and fringe benefit plan provisions.” Each
bid must contain a statement as to whether the bidder is a resident bidder, as defined in ORS 279A.120.
Owner may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all bids upon a finding of Owner that it is in the public interest to do so. The protest period for this procurement is seven (7) calendar days.
Bidders shall be licensed by OREGON CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS BOARD.
A MANDATORY site visit and walkthrough will be held on Tuesday, March 29, at 8 a.m. Meet in the public parking lot along 27th Street at the Road Department complex at 61150 S.E. 27th Street, Bend, Oregon.

Bonafide Prime Bidders may obtain two sets only at ARC-Oregon Reprographics upon deposit check payable to ARC-Oregon in the amount of $100 per set. Deposits will be refunded upon return of documents, including any addenda, in good and reusable condition and within 10 days of bid opening. Bidders and Suppliers may obtain additional sets by paying cost of reproduction, which is not refundable. Plan centers may obtain set(s) by paying cost of reproduction, which is not refundable.
