CONSTRUCTION OF THE HOCKINSON
MIDDLE SCHOOL
BRUSH PRAIRIE, WA

1.01 NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed Bids and First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Forms will be received by Sandra Yager, Superintendent of Hockinson School District, at the Hockinson High School Library, 16819 NE 159th Street, Brush Prairie, WA 98606 until 4:00 p.m. local time, May 4, 2016, for the general construction of the Hockinson Middle School. The bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the time fixed for receiving bids will be returned, unopened. General Contractors will be required to submit a First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Form within the time frame indicated below.
1.02 BIDDING DOCUMENTS
Briefly, the work for this project shall be executed under a single general construction contract including General, Civil, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical and Landscaping work for the Hockinson School District Hockinson Middle School. Bidding documents for the work are those prepared by the Architect, Dull Olson Weekes – IBI Group Architects Inc.; 907 SW Stark Street; Portland, OR 97205 (503-226-6950). Bona fide General Bidders may purchase documents only, after 2 p.m. April 4, 2016, at Willamette Print and Blueprint; 3461 NW Yeon Ave., Portland, OR 97210; (503- 223-5011).
Bidders shall use complete sets of Bidding Documents in preparing Bids. Neither the School District nor the Architect assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents.
Bidding Documents will be available for examination during the bidding period at the School District Administration Office and in the following organization offices:

1.03 MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held for all contractors intending to submit bids for this project on April 20, at 4:00 p.m. at the Hockinson Middle School, 15916 NE 182nd Avenue Street, Brush Prairie, WA 98606. Meet in the Middle School Library.
1.04 BID SECURITY
No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check, bank cashier’s check or surety bond executed by a State licensed surety company, payable to the School District in the amount indicated in Document 00 21 13 – Instructions to Bidders. No interest will be paid on bid security. Return or retention of bid security shall be subject to the provisions of Document 00 21 13 – Instructions to Bidders.
1.05 DISCLOSURE FORM
All contractors, pursuant to RCW 39.30.060, are required to complete Document 00 43 50 -Subcontractor Disclosure Form under the requirements of the Instructions to Bidders. The completed form must be received at the District Offices within one (1) hour of the Bid time and date.
All bids must be received at the Hockinson High School Library by bid closing date and time shown above. This Project is subject to State of Washington Prevailing Wage Rates in accordance with RCW 39.12. A copy of the current rates is included in the Project Manual.
