Applicant: City of Lake Oswego
Nature of Application and Proposed Legislative Amendments:
A request by the City of Lake Oswego for adoption of the Southwest Employment Area (SWEA) Plan as a Special District Plan of the Comprehensive Plan, with implementing Community Development Code and Comprehensive Plan policy amendments. Code and Plan amendments include a new Southwest Overlay District, a zoning overlay replacing LOC 50.05.008 Industrial Park Overlay District; deletion of LOC 50.11.002 Appendix B – Industrial Land Use Policy Element; deletion of LOC 50.02.002.2.c.iv-vi Standards Applicable to Boones Ferry Road/Jean Road Site, Jean Way Site, and Boones Ferry Road/Opposite Jean Way Site; and update of Comprehensive Plan Economic Vitality policy A-9.
On April 11, 2016, the Planning Commission recommended the City Council approve the proposed amendments.

Amendments would be implemented through the adoption of Ordinance 2706 and its attachments, which will be considered at the public hearing. The title of the ordinance is as follows:

An ordinance of the City of Lake Oswego adopting the SW Employment Area Plan as a Special District Plan of the Comprehensive Plan and amending the Community Development Code to add a Southwest Overlay District and to make related code streamlining amendments.
