INVITATION TO BID

CALCIUM NITRATE SOLUTION OR THE EQUIVALENT
FOR THE “B” STREET SOUTH LIFT STATION
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016-2017

The City of Madras, located at 125 S.W. “E” Street, Madras, Oregon, 97741-1346, will be accepting sealed bids until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2016 for Calcium Nitrate Solution or the equivalent, for the City’s “B” Street South Lift Station for Fiscal Year 2016-2017. Calcium Nitrate Solution is used for the reduction of hydrogen sulfide odors and corrosion in the wastewater and the prevention of further development of sulfides in the waste stream. The City reserves the right to pilot test any chemical before acceptance.
The City Public Works Department is estimating the need for approximately 5,000 to 7,000 gallons per year. A contract may be awarded during the June 14, 2016 or June 28, 2016 City Council meeting. All bids must be labeled A Calcium Nitrate Solution Bid@.
Required bid forms are attached or can be obtained from the Madras City Hall upon request. Please call (541) 475-2344 and ask for the City Recorder.
The City of Madras will not accept facsimile or electronic bids. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No withdrawal of bids will be allowed after the opening. If a contract is awarded, the City will award the contract to the bidder whose bid will best serve the interests of the contracting agency, taking into account price as well as considerations including, but not limited to, product quality, service, and past performance.
