INVITATION TO BID: 2016 TEMCO BERTH MAINTENANCE DREDGING PROJECT

NOTICE is hereby given that the PORT OF KALAMA will be receiving SEALED BIDS at the Port Office, 110 West Marine Drive, Kalama, Washington 98625 until, June 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. for the 2016 TEMCO Berth Maintenance Dredging Project.
The bids will then and there be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bids received after the published bid submittal time of 2:00 p.m., cannot be considered and will not be accepted by the Port.
Bid packets containing plans, specifications, proposal, contract, bond, and detailed instructions to bidders may be obtained at J2 Blue Print Supply Co., located at 8100 NE St. Johns Road, Suite B101, Vancouver, WA, or online at http://www. j2b.com/bidset. Printed plans and specifications are available for the cost of reproduction.
The Work includes:
Maintenance dredging will include removal of approximately 55,000 cy of dredged materials by either a hydraulic or mechanical dredge to depths between 43 feet and 47 feet relative to Columbia River Datum (CRD) as directed by the Port, with placement of dredged material into one, or a combination of, the Oregon In-Water Placement and/or the Washington Beach Nourishment Site and, if required, within the Southport upland placement site. The Contractor is required to provide unit pricing along with the total and break-down of costs and schedule for completion of dredging. Selection of the Contractor will be based upon both unit price and schedule to complete the work. On-site construction will take place between September 1, 2016, and October 31, 2016.
All contractors MUST comply with the prevailing wage and anti-discrimination laws of the State of Washington, and pay all associated fees. The PORT OF KALAMA will comply with the statutory retainage requirements for public works contracts. The PORT OF KALAMA is an equal opportunity employer.
The scheduled date for the voluntary pre-bid meeting is May 26, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Port of Kalama Administration Building, 110 W Marine Drive, Kalama, WA 98625. Bids may NOT be withdrawn or canceled by the bidder for a period of sixty (60) days following the bid opening.
