NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, the Planning Commission of the City of Beaverton will hold a public hearing to consider the legislative amendment described below. The Planning Commission will meet at the Beaverton City Hall Council Chambers, located on the first floor of The Beaverton Building at 12725 SW Millikan Way, Beaverton, Oregon.
CPA2015-0005 (Economy Chapter)
The City of Beaverton proposes to amend Volume 1 of the Comprehensive Plan by adopting an updated Economy Chapter, repealing and replacing the existing text, in order to provide a more user-friendly format and to reflect recent planning efforts, demographic changes, land supply, and future employment needs. The proposal also amends Volume 2 (Background Information and Supporting Documents) by adding the Economic Opportunities Analysis.
Approval criteria for Comprehensive Plan Amendments include: 1.5.1.A-D of the Comprehensive Plan. You may review a copy of the staff report and all other documents related to the proposed amendment at the City’s Community Development Department public counter, located on the 4th floor of The Beaverton Building, on or after July 20, 2016 (at least 7 days prior to the City Council hearing date). Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The staff report will also be available on the City’s public web site at: http://apps.beavertonoregon.gov/DevelopmentProjects/
Failure to raise an issue prior to or at a hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to afford the decision-making authority an opportunity to respond to such issue, may preclude appeal to the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA). To be addressed in the staff report, written comments on the above proposed ordinance actions shall be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016.
