NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF BALLOT TITLE
Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Resolution 16-008 approved by the Gervais City Council on July 7, 2016, the City will submit to the qualified voters of the City of Gervais for their approval or rejection at the election held on November 8, 2016, the ballot title and question as follows:
Ballot Title: Prohibits certain marijuana registrants and licensees in city
Question: Shall city prohibit medical marijuana processors, medical marijuana dispensaries, recreational marijuana producers, processors, wholesalers, and retailers in city?
The city’s election officer has received the ballot title for this measure and it is available for review at 592 4th Street, Gervais, OR 97026.
Any elector dissatisfied with this ballot title may petition the Circuit Court of Marion County seeking a different ballot title. Petitions must be filed with the court not later than 5:00 p.m., August 3, 2016, with appropriate notification, as required by law, to the Gervais City Recorder.
