NOTICE OF STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY VACATION AND HEARING
TRACT #10, MADRAS INDUSTRIAL SITES NO. 2 SUBDIVISION
The Madras City Council will be conducting a Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in the Madras City Hall Council Chambers located at 125 S.W. “E” Street. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public input regarding a proposed street right-of-way vacation at the location described below. After the public hearing, the Council will consider passage of an ordinance formalizing the proposed vacation.
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
A 26.00 foot wide strip of land bound by Tract No 10, Madras Industrial Sites Number 2 Subdivision, and the North right-of-way of NW Lytle Street, that portion not vacated, located in the NE % of Section 35, T. 10 S., R. 13 E., W.M., City of Madras, Jefferson County, Oregon, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of said Tract No. 10, monumented by a 5/8 inch diameter rebar in concrete as described on County Survey No. 15-005, recorded in microfilm no. 2015-0662, Jefferson County Clerk records; thence North 62°45’21” East along the South line of said Tract No. 10 a distance of 257.38 feet to the West line of the above-mentioned strip of land and the Point of Beginning of this Description; thence N 23°34’39” West along said West line a distance of 600.83 feet to the Northwest corner of said strip of land; thence North 66°24’34” East along the North line of said strip of land a distance of 26.00 feet to the Northeast corner of said strip of land; thence South 23°34’39” East along the East line of said strip of land a distance of 599.17 feet to the Southeast corner of said strip of land common with the South line of said Tract No. 10; thence South 62°45’21” West a distance of 26.00 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing 0.36 acres more or less.
STREET VACATE
The North 40.00 feet of NW Lytle Street, located in the Madras Industrial Sites Number 2, Situated in the NE % of Section 35, T. 10 S., R. 13 E., W.M., City of Madras, Jefferson County, Oregon, described as follows:
Said 40.00 feet is bound on the West and the East by Vacation Order No. 0-84-89 as recorded as instrument number 891530 Jefferson County Clerk records.
Dimensions of vacation are 40.27 feet by 50.10 feet per County Survey No. 15-005.
The owner(s) of record of the adjacent property are as follows:

Bright Wood Corporation Map #10-13-35 A, Tax Lot #600
The applicant, initiating the vacation proceedings, is the City of Madras as authorized by ORS 271.130 (Vacation on City Governing Body’s Own Motion).
A copy of the map of the area proposed for vacation is available at the Madras City Hall, located at 125 S.E. “E” Street, Madras, Oregon, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Objections or remonstrances must be filed, in writing, by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 or can be presented verbally or in writing to the Council during the Public Hearing.
