COUNCIL CONSIDERATION OF
ORDINANCE NO. 897

The City Council of the City of Madras, Oregon, will be considering approval of proposed Ordinance No. 897 during their regularly scheduled City Council meeting on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Madras City Hall Council Chambers.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MADRAS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 885, AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING A THREE PERCENT TAX ON THE SALE OF MARIJUANA ITEMS BY A MARIJUANA RETAILER, TO MODIFY THE PENALTIES AND INTERST PAYABLE UNDER ORDINANCE NO. 885 AND OTHERWISE ACCOMMODATE THE OREGON DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE’S ADMINISTRATION AND COLLECTION OF THE TAX IMPOSED UNDER ORDINANCE NO. 885.
A copy of the proposed ordinance will be available for review at the Madras City Hall, located at 125 S.W. ‘E’ Street, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The proposed ordinance can also be found on the City’s website at www.ci.madras.or.us .
