NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING SALE OF
CITY PROPERTY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, a public hearing will be held by the Newberg City Council on February 21, 2017, not earlier than 7:00 p.m. regarding the sale of real property by the City of Newberg. The hearing will be held at the Newberg Public Safety Building located at 401 E. Third Street, Newberg, Oregon.

Property Description: Yamhill County
Approximately 0.5 acres of Tax Lot 3205-4501 located on Bell Road, Newberg, Oregon.

REASON FOR SALE: The City of Newberg acquired TL4501 of land adjacent to the parcel that Oliver Springs was located on. The parcel was acquired to protect the Oliver Springs watershed and for a future reservoir. In 2014, it was determined that improvements constructed by the neighboring property owners encroached upon this property. These improvements include landscaping, a play structure and a portion of the existing pool. The area of encroachment is not necessary to the operation of Oliver Springs or the future reservoir.
