NOXIOUS VEGETATION ABATEMENT NOTICE

No owner or person in charge of property shall allow noxious vegetation to be on the property or in the right-of-way of a public thoroughfare (including public alleys) abutting on the property. An owner or person in charge of property shall cut down or destroy noxious vegetation as often as needed to prevent it from becoming a health or fire hazard, or, in the case of weeds or other noxious vegetation, from maturing or from going to seed.

Noxious vegetation includes poison oak, poison ivy, English ivy, blackberry bushes, knotweed, purple loosestrife, tansy ragwort, grass or weeds more than 12 inches high, scotch broom, and all other vegetation included in the Oregon Department of Agriculture’s Noxious Weed Control Policy and Classification System.
