NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

SOUTH HILLSBORO TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM PLAN SPOT AMENDMENTS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Hillsboro Planning Commission at or shortly after 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in the Shirley Huffman Auditorium of the Hillsboro Civic Center, 150 E Main Street, Hillsboro. At the hearing, the Planning Commission will consider proposed text amendments to the Hillsboro Comprehensive Plan, Ordinance No. 2793, as amended, and the Transportation System Plan Update (January 2004), as amended.
The City of Hillsboro Planning Department is proposing text amendments to the Hillsboro Comprehensive Plan, Ordinance No. 2793, as amended, and the Transportation System Plan Update (January 2004), as amended, for the purpose of modifying the classification, alignments, and connectivity of several public streets in the South Hillsboro Community Plan Area. Alignment Modifications: Several road alignment modifications are being proposed for: SE Cornelius Pass Road from SE Tualatin Valley (TV) Highway to SW Rosedale Road; SE Century Boulevard from SE Davis Road to SE McInnis Street; SE Blanton Street from SE 67th Avenue to SW 209th Avenue; SE Kinnaman Street from SE Century Blvd to SW 209th Avenue; New Neighborhood Routes: Several new neighborhood routes are proposed: SE Butternut Creek Parkway from SE Century Blvd to SW 209th Avenue; SE Deline Street from SE Butternut Creek Parkway to SW 209th Avenue; SE Vermont Street from SE Cornelius Pass Road to SW 209th Avenue; Neighborhood Routes A and B from SE Kinnaman Street to SE McInnis Street. Streets to be removed: SE Rosa Road extension is proposed for removal from the Transportation System Plan.
The procedures by which Transportation System Plan and Comprehensive Plan amendments are processed can be found in Section 1 (IV) of the Hillsboro Comprehensive Plan (HCP). The HCP may be viewed online at http://www.hillsboro-

The staff report on this matter will be available on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. The staff report and the applicable criteria are available for public inspection at no cost, or copies can be provided at reasonable cost, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays, in the Planning Department at the Hillsboro Civic Center, 150 E Main Street, 4th floor, Hillsboro, Oregon.
All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting and will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposal. Oral testimony will be taken in the following order: staff report; proponents; opponents; and Staff’s response. Oral testimony should avoid repetition of issues, and should be based on the application or on the approval criteria. ORS 197.763 provides that under certain circumstances, the record may remain open or a continuance may be granted upon the request of a participant. If you are unable to attend the hearing, you may submit a written statement to the Planning Director at the address shown above, on or before the hearing date. Pursuant to ORS 197.763, failure to raise an issue at the final evidentiary hearing, or by close of the record, in person or by letter, or failure to provide sufficient specificity to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue.
