PUBLIC NOTICE INVITATION TO SUBMIT BID PROPOSALS Crook County, a political subdivision of the State of Oregon, hereinafter referenced to as County, is seeking a qualified contractor to construct Runway 28 Threshold Relocation and Associated Improvements. This project will relocate the Runway 28 Threshold, construct new taxiway pavements, construct a new Runway 10-28 MIRL, replace and relocate the Runway 28 PAPI, install new runway and taxiway signage and complete associated electrical improvements, construct new runway and taxiway shoulder and safety area grading, install subsurface drainage (underdrains) and associated drainage improvements, update the Runway 10-28 pavement marking and remove existing Runway 28 and associated taxiway pavements. Sealed Bids shall be addressed to and received at the Crook County Courthouse, Attn: Brian Barney, County Commissioner, 300 NE Third Street, Room 10, Prineville, Oregon 97754 not later than 2:00 p.m., local time, according to the official clock located in the Crook County Administration Office, on Thursday the 26th day of March 2020. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and delivered on or before the deadline to the Crook County Courthouse. Immediately thereafter, the Bids will be publicly opened and read at the above-stated location. The Engineer’s cost opinion for this work is between $1,500,000 and $1,900,000. This contract is for a public work subject to the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870) and the Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C. 3141, et seq). The Bidder must agree that the requirements and conditions of employment be observed and minimum wage rates, as established by the U.S. Secretary of Labor, or the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, whichever is higher, be paid under the Contract.
