PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Estacada Planning Commission will hold a Virtual Public Hearing on Thursday, May 27, 2020, beginning at 7:00 pm in the Estacada City Council Chambers, Estacada, Oregon. To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to protect our more vulnerable members of the community, the City of Estacada will be holding public meetings virtually. Everyone is encouraged to please attend the meeting online or by phone. Anyone who cannot access the meeting online or by phone can attend the meeting in person in the Council Chambers at Estacada City Hall. In order to follow social distancing guidelines from Clackamas County Public Health Authority, the City Council Chambers will be limited to 10 people at a time. Written testimony can also be submitted, but must be submitted by 4:00 pm to the City Recorder on the date of the meeting. To email written testimony send to hovda@cityofestacada.org. They will consider the following applications: Conditional Use Application #2020-02-CU. The applicant, Oregon Dept. of Transportation (ODOT), is requesting a conditional use according to Section 16.36.030(A) of the Estacada Municipal Code, to allow for outdoor storage of road maintenance products. The property is described as 34E, 17CA, tax lot 2700 – 1150 NE Commerce Court. The subject property is zoned M-1 (light industrial). This conditional use is subject to section 16.36 & 16.88 of the Estacada Municipal Code and Chapters 7, 9 & 10 of the Comprehensive Plan. Variance #2020-01-VAR. The applicant, Greg White, is requesting a variance from Section 16.16.040(C)(2) to allow a RV cover to remain on his property in the required 5-foot side yard setback. The subject property is described as 34E, 16CC, tax lot 1500 – 1740 NE Gardiner Drive, and is zoned R-1 (low density residential). The application is subject to the criteria in Section 16.16, 16.61, 16.84, & 16.100 of the Estacada City Code. Variance #2020-02-VAR. The applicant, Cathleen Houk, is requesting a variance from Section 16.16.040(C)(2) to allow a carport to remain on her property and be remodeled in the required 5 foot side yard setback. The subject property is described as 34E, 21CC, tax lot 3700 – 162 SE Pierce Street, and is zoned R-1 (low density residential). The application is subject to the criteria in Section 16.16, 16.61, 16.84, & 16.100 of the Estacada City Code. Anyone wishing to present written testimony on this proposed action may do so in writing prior to or at the Public Hearing. Testimony and evidence must be directed toward the applicable approval criteria or other criteria, which a person believes to apply to the decision. Failure to raise an issue in a hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide sufficient specificity to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal of the Council’s decision based upon that issue.
