CITY OF HILLSBORO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CASE FILE NOS.: AN-002-20 & ZC-002-20 BOYER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that two public hearings will be held before the City Council, through a Zoom virtual meeting at or shortly after 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. At the hearings, the City Council will consider a property owner request for annexation of one property approximately 0.71 acres in size, into the City limits of Hillsboro and a City-initiated Zone Change on the subject property to apply the City’s MU-C Mixed Use – Commercial zone upon annexation. The purpose of the annexation is for access to City utilities. The property owner is Boyer, Robert Eugene & Betty Lou Revocable Trust and applicant Betty L. Boyer. The subject property is specifically identified as Tax Lot 1000 on Washington County Assessor’s Tax Map 1S2-10CC and is generally located south of SE Davis Road, east of SE Brookwood Avenue and west of SE Davis Court. The applicable criteria for an annexation are listed in Metro Code Chapter 3.09.045 and 3.09.050 and Section 12.80.010 of the Community Development Code (CDC). The applicable criteria for a zone change are listed in CDC Section 12.80.160. The CDC may be viewed online at www.hillsboro-oregon.gov/communitydevelopmentcode. The Annexation staff report will be available on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. The Zone Change staff report will be available on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. Annexation of the property would also include its annexation to the Clean Water Services District and its withdrawal from the Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue Service District. All interested persons are invited to attend this virtual Zoom meeting and will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposal. Oral testimony should avoid repetition of issues, and should be based on the application or on the approval criteria listed above. ORS 197.763 provides that under certain circumstances, the record may remain open or a continuance may be granted upon the request of a participant. If you are unable to attend the hearing, you may submit a written statement to the Planning Director at 150 E Main Street, Hillsboro, Oregon 97123, on or before the hearing date. Telephone conversations cannot be accepted as testimony. Please reference the Case File Nos. on all written testimony. Pursuant to ORS 197.763, failure to raise an issue at the final evidentiary hearing, or by close of the record, in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue.
