PUBLIC NOTICE 2020 CITY OF SANDY ELECTIONS MAYOR, AND COUNCILOR POSITIONS 3, 4, & 6 At the November 3, 2020 General Election, City of Sandy voters will determine who will fill the Mayor’s position, as well as three City Councilor positions. The Mayor’s term length is two years and the Councilors’ term length is four years. All terms will begin on January 1, 2021. Councilor positions 3, 4, and 6 are to be filled at the November 3, 2020 election. John Hamblin, Jan Lee, and Bethany Shultz currently hold these seats, respectively. Stan Pulliam is currently the Mayor. To be eligible to serve in these offices, individuals must have resided within Sandy’s city limits during the 12 months immediately preceding the election, and must be qualified electors. A qualified elector is any person 18 years of age or older who is registered to vote. To place a name on the ballot, a petition must be circulated and at least 20 actively registered voters from the City of Sandy must sign the petition to nominate the individual for one of the open positions.
