CITY OF HILLSBORO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CASE FILE NO.: CU-004-20 MILLER EDUCATION CENTER PATHWAYS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Planning and Zoning Hearings Board, through a Zoom virtual meeting at or shortly after 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. At this hearing, the Planning Commission will consider a request for Conditional Use approval to allow the placement of a modular classroom at Miller Education Center to accommodate an additional five staff members and 115 students. The site is located in the Station Community Residential – Medium Density zone. The applicant has also submitted an application for Development Review (Case File No.: DR-032-20) for architectural review of the modular classroom, which is being processed separately under Administrative Review, and is contingent upon approval of this Conditional Use. The Hillsboro School District is the property owner and applicant and the applicant’s representative is Mimi Doukas, AKS Engineering & Forestry. The subject property is specifically identified as Tax Lot 7400 on Washington County Assessor’s Tax Map 1S2-06BA and is generally located north of SE Walnut Street, south of SE Oak Street, east of SE 4th Avenue and west of SE 5th Avenue. The applicable criteria for this consolidated application are included in Section 12.80.020 of the Community Development Code (CDC). The CDC may be viewed online at www.hillsboro-oregon.gov/communitydevelopmentcode or in the Planning Division office. The staff report on this matter will be available on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. The staff report, application materials, and the applicable criteria are available for public inspection at no cost, or copies can be provided at reasonable cost, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays, in the Planning Division at the Civic Center, 150 E Main Street, 4th floor, Hillsboro, Oregon. The agenda packet will be updated after 8 am with the testimony received via email. — Teleconference Testimony: Pre-register to speak during the public hearing by providing your name and phone number to the Planning Division before 8 am on Wednesday, August 5th. During the public hearing, the Planning Commission President will read the list of those who pre-registered. When the President calls your name, you will have three minutes to speak. Members of the public using Zoom will not be able to share their screen during the meeting; presentation materials should be submitted as written testimony. Testimony should avoid repetition of issues, and should be based on the application or on the approval criteria listed above. ORS 197.763 provides that under certain circumstances, the record may remain open or a continuance may be granted upon the request of a participant.
