TIMBER FOR SALE

PUBLIC NOTICE TIMBER FOR SALE, UNITED STATES DEPARMENT OF THE INTERIOR, BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT. SEALED BIDS as hereinafter designated will be received by the District Manager, Bureau of Land Management, 1717 Fabry Road, S. E., Salem, Oregon 97306, until 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2020, for all timber marked or designated for cutting. Before bids are submitted, full information concerning the timber, the conditions of sale and submission of bids, including appraised prices per species, should be obtained from the above District Manager. The right is hereby reserved to waive technical defects in this advertisement and to reject any or all bids. The United States reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received whenever such waiver is in the interest of the United States. This sale notice, first published on July 29, 2020, constitutes the decision document for purposes of protests and appeals, under 43 CFR Subpart 5003 – Administrative Remedies. Protests of any sale listed below must be filed in writing within 15 days after the first publication of this notice. To protest this decision, a person must submit a written or electronic protest to the Cascades Field Manager. Written protests can be submitted via mail to John Huston, Cascades Field Manager, Northwest Oregon District Office, 1717 Fabry Road SE, Salem, Oregon 97306, or may be hand delivered to the Northwest Oregon District Office at the same address. Electronic protests must be submitted via the BLM Northwest Oregon District NEPA email: blm_or_no_publiccomments_nepa@blm.gov. Protests must be submitted by close of business (4:00 pm) on the 15th day of the protest period. This timber sale is consistent with management direction as authorized by the 2016 Northwestern and Coastal Oregon Record of Decision and Resource Management Plan.
