NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City of Metolius Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing beginning at 6:00 p.m. on August 31, 2020, in the City Council Chambers of the Metolius City Hall located at 636 Jefferson Avenue. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public testimony on a proposed amendment to the City’s Comprehensive Plan Map. The proposal is to bring the City’s existing Wastewater Treatment Plant and Spray Irrigation Site into the City’s Urban Growth Boundary. The property is described as Tax Lot 1300 of Assessor’s Map 11 13 32 and Tax Lot 700 of Assessor’s Map 11 13 21 and is currently planned and zoned A-1, Farm Use, by Jefferson County. By bringing the property into the Urban Growth Boundary, the proposal is to designate it on the Comprehensive Plan Map as Open Space/Public Facilities (O/S-P/F) The County’s underlying EFU zone would be still in place until the property is brought into the City.
