JOINT WATER COMMISSION PUMP REPLACEMENT PROJECT Bids due and Bid Closing Date and Time: September 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM First Tier Subcontractor Disclosure due: Not later than September 15, 2020 at 4:00 PM INVITATION TO BID (ITB) – PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT ITB NO. 202008-10032 The Joint Water Commission (JWC) seeks competitive sealed bids from qualified and experienced firms able to provide construction services for removal of existing, furnishing, installation and testing of new Triangle/Floway finished water vertical turbine pumps and motors at the JWC Finished Water Pump Station #1 located at the JWC Water Treatment Plant along Fern Hill Road in Forest Grove. Triangle/Floway pumps are the only brand(s) that will be accepted for this bid. For other items: Other specifications and brands listed are not intended to be restrictive. The work also includes removal of existing and the installation of three new reinforce concrete pump pedestals, and provide all associated electrical and other work consisting of all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, services, transportation, permits, and submittals required to complete the project. Installation of pumps and motors is scheduled during low demand season between October 1, 2021 and March 30, 2022. Only 2 pumps will be replaced at the same time. Remaining two pumps and motors may be removed and replaced after first two pumps pass performance testing and are commissioned at the sole option of the JWC. Omissions from the Contract Documents of details of work that are necessary to carry out the intent of the Contract shall not relieve the Contractor from performing the omitted work . There is no pre-qualification process for this ITB. There is no mandatory pre-bid meeting. If a prospective bidder desires a site visit, he or she must email the City contact by August 19, 2020 to schedule. Due to the COVID conditions, site-visits will be limited to a specific time and participation will be limited to two persons in order to minimize exposure potential. The visit will strictly be an opportunities for bidders to view the site. No questions will be answered and no information beyond what is in this ITB will be provided.
