NOTICE OF LEGISLATIVE PUBLIC HEARINGS The Columbia City Planning Commission has scheduled a public hearing on Tuesday March 16, 2021 beginning at or about 6:30 p.m. through Zoom, to consider a legislative text amendment to the Columbia City Development Code Chapter 7.50 (R-3) High Density Residential Zone that would allow single-family detached housing as a conditional use. (City File No. LU 21-01). The City Council is scheduled to hear the matter on Thursday, April 15, 2021 and a second reading will occur on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Both of these meetings will start at 6:15 p.m. and will be via conference call. Participation in the City Council meeting 4/15/2021 or 5/20/2021 at 6:15 p.m. may be accomplished by conference call by dialing 425-436-6318 with an access code of 752011*. Interested persons are invited to attend any of the public hearings and present oral testimony. If you would like to comment but cannot participated in any of the hearings, you may submit your comments in writing to City Hall by 4:00 p.m. on the date of the hearing. Copies of all related documents are available for review at City Hall located at 1840 Second Street in Columbia City, Oregon. The staff report will be available for review at City Hall approximately one week prior to the Planning Commission hearing on March 16, 2021. Copies of all documents can be purchased at cost. Pursuant to ORS 197.763, failure to raise an issue by the close of the record, in person or by letter, or failure to be specific enough to give Commissioners or City Council the opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA) based on that issue.
