CITY OF SCAPPOOSE NOTICE OF A LIMITED LAND USE DECISION The Scappoose Planning Commission has scheduled a Limited Land Use Decision to consider: Docket # SDR2-20 Wayne Weigandt has requested approval of an application for Site Development Review to allow for the construction of an 8-unit multi-family building and associated site amenities. The site is located at 33421 SW Maple Street, north west of the SW Maple Street and SW 1st Street intersection, on property described as Columbia County Assessor Map # 3212-CA-08801. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers* of the Scappoose City Hall located at 33568 East Columbia Avenue. Limited Land Use Decisions do not allow verbal testimony during the hearing since they do not require interpretation or the exercise of policy or legal judgment; however, written comments are permitted prior to the deadline (must be received by 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2021). *Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions, this meeting may be held via telephone conference rather than in person. The Planning Commission’s decision on the above limited land use decision must be based on findings that a specific set of criteria have or have not been met. Comments submitted in regard to the application should be directed toward applicable sections of Title 17 (Land Use and Development) of the Scappoose Municipal Code, with particular emphasis on Chapters 17.62 (C, General Commercial); 17.100 (Landscaping, Screening, and Fencing); 17.104 (Street Trees); 17.106 (Off-Street Parking and Loading Requirements); Chapter 17.120 (Site Development Review); 17.154 (Street and Utility Improvement Standards); and 17.164 (Procedures for Decision Making – Limited Land Use Decisions). The decision-making criteria, application, and records concerning this matter are available in the Scappoose Community Development Center office at 52610 NE 1st Street, Scappoose, Oregon during working hours or by calling (503) 543-7184.
