NOTICE OF SPECIAL JEFFERSON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION HEARING CASEFILE 21-PA-02 The Jefferson County Planning Commission has scheduled a public hearing to review the Jefferson County Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan (NHMP). The NHMP is a document which assimilates information about local natural disaster concerns into a plan whereby mitigation of the potential threats from natural disasters can possibly be managed. The Planning Commission will hear a presentation, take testimony and make recommendations about changes to the Jefferson County Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan (NHMP) to the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners who ultimately have the authority to adopt any suggested changes. The hearing will be held on September 30, 2021, at 5:30 pm in the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners meeting room located at 66 SE D Street, Madras, OR. The failure to raise an issue by the close of the record at or following the final evidentiary hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to afford the decision-maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue.
