NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City of Lake Oswego Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, September 27, 2021, 6:30 p.m. The Commission will consider LU 20-0005, a request from the City of Lake Oswego for amendments to LOC Sections 50.05.011 (Flood Management Area), 50.07.003 (Review Procedures), 50.07.004 (Additional Submission Requirements), 50.08.001 (Introduction Variances) 50.10.003.2 (Definitions), 42.03.025* (Street Design Standards), to conform to the National Flood Insurance Program. [* Non-land use code section that does not rezone property under ORS 227.186, but is listed here for context.] Proposed Ordinance No 2847 has been drafted to comply with Federal Emergency Management Agency Regulations and is required to ensure continued compliance with the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) within the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) deadline of January 1, 2022. A copy of the proposed amendments is on file in the Planning & Building Services Department at City Hall and can also be obtained by visiting the City’s website at: https://www.ci.oswego.or.us/all-projects (Search for LU 20-0005) Since the time allowed for public testimony is limited, you are urged to review the record and be thoroughly familiar with it if you plan to testify. Recommendation: Final recommendations of the Planning Commission shall be forwarded to the City Council. A final decision on these proposals will be made by the City Council.
