NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING (ORS 221.725) SALE OF CITY REAL PROPERTY Pursuant to ORS 221.725, the Madras City Council (the Council) will hold a public hearing during its regular council meeting on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. in the Madras Council Chambers located at City Hall, 125 SW E Street, Madras, Oregon 97741, to discuss the sale of certain City-owned real property located in the Mountain View Subdivision commonly known as Map No. 111302AA05502, Tax Account No. 0110-1184, and more particularly described as follows (the Property): Lot Seven (7), Block Ten (10), Mountain View Sub-division to Madras, Jefferson County, Oregon. (Jefferson County Tax Account No. 1184) City of Madras (City) proposes to transfer (sell) the Property to John P. Ahlers (Buyer). After acquiring the Property, Buyer intends to combine the Property with Buyer’s adjoining lot of approximately the same size. Buyer then intends to sell the combined parcels. The transfer will be accomplished through a purchase and sale agreement. The Council considers it necessary and convenient to sell the Property because (a) the Property is vacant and not needed for public use, and (b) City desires to promote and encourage development within City. In accordance with ORS 221.725, City residents will have the opportunity to present written or oral Testimony at the public hearing concerning the proposed transfer.
