CITY OF HILLSBORO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS CASE FILE NOS. HCP-001-19 JACKSON EAST AND CDCA-001-19 JACKSON EAST NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that two public hearings will be held before the City Council at or shortly after 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. This meeting will be held in person in the Shirley Huffman Auditorium at the Civic Center, 150 E Main Street, Hillsboro, AND remotely via Zoom. At the hearings, the City Council will consider recommendations made by the Planning Commission regarding proposed text and map amendments to the Hillsboro Comprehensive Plan (HCP), Ordinance No. 6249 (Case File No. HCP-001-19), and proposed text amendments to the Hillsboro Community Development Code (CDC), Ordinance No. 6094 (Case File No. CDCA-001-19). Requested Amendments: Text and map amendments to the HCP would incorporate the approximately 550 acres in North Hillsboro brought into the Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) by the Legislature in 2014, referred to as Jackson East. The proposed amendments would affect goals, policies, and implementation measures in Section 30 North Hillsboro Industrial Area Community Plan, add a Comprehensive Plan Industrial Designation for Jackson East to Section 22 Comprehensive Plan Map, add text to Section 23.8 Incorporated by Reference: Transportation System Plan, add maps to Section 32. Transportation System Plan, and add the Natural Resources Inventory & Assessment for the Jackson East area to Section 23.5 Natural Resources Inventory. The proposed CDC text amendments to incorporate Jackson East would affect Section 12.25.300 I-S Industrial Sanctuary, Subchapter 12.66 North Hillsboro Industrial Area Plan District, Section 12.01.500 Definitions, Section 12.10.210 Commercial Lodging, Section 12.30.800 Enlargement or Expansion of Non-Conforming Uses or Structures, and Section 12.80.040 Development Review.
