CITY OF AURORA PUBLIC NOTICE OF PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING APPLICATION FOR SITE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW GATEWAY STORAGE On August 2, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., the Aurora Planning Commission will review a proposal by PNR, LLC, applicant, for Gateway Storage, a new self-storage facility. The project site is generally located on the west side of Highway 99E, north of NE Ottoway Road, identified as Tax Lots 2300, 2400, 2500 (and portion of 2600) on Marion County Tax Assessor’s Map 4-1-W-13B. The case file number is SDR 2022-05 and the request is to construct a facility comprised of six single-story buildings, totaling approximately 35,000 square feet of floor area, providing 281 self-storage units. One vehicle access to the proposed mini-storage facility is proposed from NE Ottoway Road. The total site area is 78,731 square feet. Procedures identified in Aurora Municipal Code (AMC) Sections 16.58 and 16.78, titled Limited Land Use Decisions, apply. Approval is based on standards found in subsection 16.58.100. Because the subject property is in the Gateway Overlay District, additional development standards of AMC Section 16.56 apply. The meeting is not a public hearing and will be held in Aurora City Hall, 21420 Main Street NE Aurora, Oregon 97002. Written testimony may be submitted during a fourteen-day comment period (June 13-27) with a deadline of June 27, 4:00p.m. A copy of the application, plans, all documents and evidence relied upon by the applicant are available for inspection at no cost and copies will be provided at reasonable cost. Additional information is available at City Hall, 21420 Main Street NE, Aurora, Oregon. Issues which may provide a basis for appeal must be raised in writing during the comment period.
