CITY OF HILLSBORO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CASE FILE NO. HCP-005-22 WITCH HAZEL VILLAGE SOUTH COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Planning Commission at or shortly after 6:00 pm, at their regular meeting on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. This meeting will be held in person in Conference Room 113, located on the 1st floor at the Civic Center, 150 E Main Street, Hillsboro, AND remotely via Zoom. Instructions on how to join the Zoom virtual meeting are listed at the bottom of this notice. At the hearing, the Planning Commission will consider proposed text and map amendments to the Hillsboro Comprehensive Plan (HCP), Ordinance No. 6249. Requested Amendments: The proposed text and map amendments to the Hillsboro Comprehensive Plan (HCP) would incorporate approximately 150 acres in the Witch Hazel Village South (WHVS) plan area that were brought into the Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) by Metro in 2002 and primarily in December 2018. The proposed amendments would 1) add new Comprehensive Plan Designations for WHVS to Section 22 Comprehensive Plan Map; 2) add new Section 32 Witch Hazel Village South Community Plan that will include goals, policies, and implementation measures; 3) add the Natural Resources Inventory & Assessment for the WHVS area to Section 23.5 Natural Resources Inventory; 4) add text to Section 23.8 Incorporated by Reference: Transportation System Plan; and 5) add maps to existing Section 32. Transportation System Plan proposed to be renumbered to Section 33. Tax Lots brought into the UGB under the WHVS Plan area include: Tax Lots 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 801, 804, 806, 809 & 810 on Washington County Tax Map 1S2-16A, Tax Lots 100 & 101 on Tax Map 1S2-16D and Tax Lot 1301 on Tax Map 1S2-10CC. Location: South of the existing Witch Hazel Village neighborhood, east of River Road, west of The Reserve Golf Club and South Hillsboro neighborhood, and north of the remaining Urban Reserve area. The procedures by which a Comprehensive Plan Text and Map Amendment is processed can be found in Section 12.70.060 Type IV Procedure, Section 12.80.162 Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment and Section 12.80.166 Comprehensive Plan Major Text Amendment of the Community Development Code (CDC). The staff report, including a draft Order will be available at by Wednesday, October 5, 2022.
