PUBLIC NOTICE ASBESTOS IN DISTRICT BUILDINGS In accordance with the requirements of the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) the Newberg School District is required to inform the public on an annual basis that some portions of District facilities contain asbestos. The asbestos has been identified, contained, catalogued, and an asbestos management plan developed for each individual facility in accordance with AHERA requirements. Plans for each facility are maintained in that facility’s administrative office as well as at the Physical Plant. The plans are available for on-site review by any interested member of the public.
