The Cornelius City Council adopted Ordinance 2015-07 applying the Very Low Density Comprehensive Plan Designation to the property in 2015. Applicant: Dehen Homes OR336 LLC, Aplicant’s Consultant: AKS Engineering & Forestry, Mimi Doukas, AICP Applicable Criteria: Chapter 18.125 (Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance) At the time and place listed above all persons will be given a reasonable opportunity to give testimony either for or against the proposal. Testimony may be either in oral or written form and must be relevant to the criteria listed above on which the proposal will be evaluated. At the public hearing, the Planning Commission Chair will open the public hearing, a staff report will be presented, interested persons will be allowed to speak for or against the proposal or to ask questions, Commissioner may ask any general questions, and then the public hearing will be closed. In order for an issue to be considered for appeal, it must be raised before the close of the record of the public hearing. Such issues must be raised with sufficient specificity so as to afford the hearing body and the parties an adequate opportunity to respond to each issue. If there is no continuance granted at the hearing, any participant in the hearing might request that the record remain open for at least seven days after the hearing. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the City Council for their review and approval through the same public hearing process as conducted by the Planning Commission.
