NOTICE OF PLANNING COMMISSION HEARINGS Notice is hereby given that the Crook County Planning Commission will hold public hearings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, to consider the following: ITEM #1: Bobby Kennedy II filed a subdivision application identified as file number 217-23-001387-PLNG. The property is identified as map/tax lot 1516000000800. The property is zoned Rural Residential Zone, R-10. The subject property is located adjacent to and west of Davis Loop. Kennedy Way bisects the property. This is a continuation of the first hearing held on September 27, 2023. The applicable approval criteria for file number 217-23-001387-PLNG are: Title 18, Chapters 18.92 (R-10 Zone), 18.124 (Supplementary Provisions), and 18.172 (Administration Provisions) Title 17, Chapters 17.08 (Definitions), 17.12 General Requirements and Subdivision Review Committee, 17.16 (Tentative Plans), 17.20 (Final Plat) 17.36 (Design Standards), and 17.40 (Improvements). ITEM #2: RMG Destinations, LLC filed applications to modify the Development Plan (217-23-001603-PLNG) (to amend file number 217-18-000334-PLNG) and the Final Development Plan (217-23-001604-PLNG) (to amend file number 217-19-000370-PLNG). The requests will amend the prior approvals to allow 50 phased overnight lodging units instead of 75 phased overnight lodging units in the Hidden Canyon Destination Resort. The subject property is identified as T 16S, R 14E WM, Tax lots 2200, 3900, and 4100 and T16S, R 15E WM, Tax lots 2100, 3100 and 3200. The zoning is Exclusive Farm Use, EFU-3 with a Destination Resort Overlay. The applicable approval criteria for file numbers 217-23-001603-PLNG and 217-23-001604-PLNG are: Title 18, Chapter 18.116 (Destination Resort Overlay) and 18.172 (Administration Provisions) For both public hearings, written testimony or comments may be submitted to the Crook County Community Development Department by email at plan@crookcountyor.gov and may also be submitted in person or by mail to 300 NE 3rd St, Room 12, Prineville, OR 97754. Written testimony received by Friday, October 13, 2023, will be considered by staff prior to the issuance of the staff report and recommendation on this application. However, written testimony will continue to be accepted until the records close, which may occur as soon as the conclusion of the public hearing. Failure to raise an issue in the hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide sufficient specificity to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue. A copy of the application, all documents and evidence relied upon by the applicant and applicable criteria are available for inspection at no cost and will be provided at reasonable cost in accordance with the County’s fee schedule.
