Public Notice The Dundee City Council on October 17, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., at the Dundee Fire Station Community Meeting Room, 801 Highway 99W, will hold a public hearing to consider Legislative amendments to the Dundee Development Code (case # LURA 2023-02), related to the short-term rental standards and process. The City Council is the decision authority for the proposed amendments. The City is reviewing the current Short Term Rental (STR) provisions and among the many proposed changes, one proposed change would delete the current language that a new STR can be located in the R-1, R-2, R-3 or Agriculture Zones in a single family dwelling provided it would not be located on a property abutting an existing approved STR on the same side of a street in a block. The current language also allows the Planning Commission to approve a new STR on a property abutting an existing approved Vacation Rental (VR) or STR through the conditional use permit process. The proposed change would replace the foregoing current language with an objective standard that would not allow a new STR in the R-1, R-2, R-3 or Agriculture Districts in a single-family dwelling to locate within 200 feet (measured as the crow flies) of an existing approved VR or STR. The proposed amendments are available for review at Dundee City Hall, 620 SW 5th Street, Dundee, OR 97115. A copy of the proposed amendments is available for purchase at a reasonable copying cost per page, or a copy can be emailed to you.
