DEQ Seeks Comments on Proposed Agreement with City of Portland, for Columbia Slough Sediment The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality seeks comments on its proposed Agreement with the City of Portland to fund future in-water sediment cleanup projects, settle natural resources damages and implement additional cleanup measures to improve the overall watershed health within the Columbia Slough over the next 15 years. The City will complete the cleanup work under a consent judgement with DEQ to further support long-term improvements within the Columbia Slough that will protect public health and the environment.
