TITLE III PROJECTS
AMENDED NOTICE OF PROPOSED TITLE III COUNTY PROJECTS:
SECURE RURAL SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY SELF-DETERMINATION ACT OF 2000;
AND SUBSEQUENT ACTS AS AMENDED AND REAUTHORIZED
This is a 45-day public notice about projects that have been funded in FY 23-24 and may be funded in FY 24-25 by Title III of the original/reauthorized/renewed Secure Rural Schools and Community Self Determination Act of 2000. For FY 23-24, Marion County allocated $230,185.83 to Title III projects for Forest Patrol ($219,015.30) and Emergency Search and Rescue ($11,170.53). For county fiscal year 2024-25, Marion County will allocate approximately $261,488 to Title III projects for Forest Patrol ($221,488) and Emergency Search and Rescue ($40,000). The Marion County Board of Commissioners has identified the following use specified by the law as eligible for the authorized and reauthorized funding:
Law Enforcement Patrol Personnel Costs, Along With Related Staff Training Costs and Equipment Purchases; and Search, Rescue and Emergency Services in Marion County

2. Search and rescue services in Marion County;
