INVITATION TO BID: MODIFIED
BITUMINOUS MEMBRANE ROOFING – HOT APPLIED SYSTEM AND/OR SEALED SEAM METAL ROOF REPLACMENT SYSTEM AT MARSHFIELD HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM

Sealed bids responses will be received by Coos Bay School District until 2:00 p.m., PST January 27th, 2016. Bid responses received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at 2:00 p.m., PST January 27th, 2016 in the Coos Bay School District offices located at 1255 Hemlock, Coos Bay, OR.
Submit bids in a sealed opaque envelope, plainly marked “Bid Proposals for either/both the Modified Bituminous Membrane Roofing-Hot Applied System and/or the Sealed Seam Metal Roof Replacement at Marshfield High School Auditorium, Bid closing 2:00 p.m., PST, January 27, 2016”.
Disclosure forms must be submitted after bid submittal, but prior to 3:00 p.m., PST January 27th, 2016, at the same location as bids were submitted. Disclosure forms must be submitted in a separate, sealed, opaque envelope, plainly marked “Bid Proposals for either/both the Modified Bituminous Membrane Roofing-Hot Applied System and/or the Sealed Seam Metal Roof Replacement at Marshfield High School Auditorium, Bid closing 2:00 p.m., PST, January 27, 2016”.
Submit proposals for the work on forms furnished by the District, acknowledging receipt of all addenda.
Formal pre-qualification is not required or desired, but Bidder must be a licensed contractor under ORS 468.883, except as provided below, and must meet the minimum requirements certified in the specification documents.
A Bid Bond or Certified Check executed in favor of Coos Bay School District in an amount not less than ten percent (10) of the total Basic Bid Sum and additive alternates, if any, will be required, which sum shall be forfeited as fixed and liquidated damages should the Bidder neglect or refuse to enter into a contract and provide a suitable bond for the faithful performance of the work in the event the contract is awarded to the Bidder.
A mandatory bid walk of the site will be conducted on January 21st, 2016 at 10:00 AM. For direction to the site, contact the facilities manager, Rick Roberts, at Coos Bay School District, Coos Bay, Oregon (551-888-1233).
Bid may be rejected for not complying with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements or for good cause upon a finding by the District that is in the public interest to do so.
A 100% performance bond will be required of the successful bidder.
No proposal will be considered without a statement by the Bidder as a part of their proposal that the provisions required by ORS 279.029 shall be included in this contract. No proposal will be considered without a statement by the Bidder as a part of their proposal whether Bidder is a “resident bidder”, as defined by ORS 279.029.
No Bidder may withdraw their Bid within thirty (30) days after the hour set for opening. Coos Bay School District reserves the right to waive formalities and to reject any and all bids.
