INVITATION TO BID: WORK RELATED TO SITE IMPROVEMENTS AT MEADOW PARK
SPRINGFIELD, OR

Willamalane Park and Recreation District (WPRD) is accepting sealed bids for work related to site improvements at Meadow Park, a neighborhood park located at 851 Mill Street, Springfield, Oregon. Project Description: In general, the work consists of demolition of existing playground equipment and concrete sidewalks, earth work, erosion control, installation of a new children’s playground with play structures, swings, spinners etc., rubber tile safety surface, concrete sidewalks and plaza, landscaping, installation of site amenities such as benches, bike racks, picnic tables and fencing, and installation of a pre-manufactured picnic shelter under a bid alternate. There will be a pre-offer conference to review the project on February 24, 2016 at 2 pm on-site at the above address. The conference is not mandatory, but contractors are strongly advised to attend. Construction is anticipated to start on April 18th, 2016 at the earliest with 8 to 10 weeks for construction.
Solicitation Documents may be viewed at the Willamalane Center front desk at the address below, and can also be viewed and downloaded for printing online at http://willamalane.org/planning/bids-rfps/ Solicitation Documents will be available from February 17th, 2016 to March 8th, 2016. All bidders that download the Solicitation Documents must email the Willamalane Project Manager simond@willamalane.org to confirm they have done so. This is to ensure that any potential bidders can be advised of any addenda that become available and need to be downloaded.
WPRD will be accepting sealed bids for the work, delivered to the Willamalane Center, 250 S. 32nd Street, Springfield, Oregon, before 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time on the 8th day of March, 2016. WPRD will publicly open bids on March 8th, 2016 at 2:10 pm in the Ken Long (North) Room at Willamalane Center. Bids may be physically delivered or mailed to Simon Daws, RLA, Project Manager at Willamalane Center. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the project name. Your offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission. Submit your offer on the Bid Form provided. WPRD reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers. No bid will be considered unless fully completed in the manner provided in the “Instructions to Bidders” upon the Bid Form provided and accompanied by Bid Security. The contract is for a public works project subject to Oregon Revised Statutes 279C.800 to 279C.870 or the Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C. § 3141 et seq.).
