The City of Lake Oswego, Oregon, invites Proposals to provide Professional Predesign Engineering Services for Work Order #238 – Marylhurst Pump Station Upgrade Project.
The Marylhurst Pump Station Upgrade Project will be a complex, multi-dimensional public improvement that will require public and stakeholder involvement, potential property or easement acquisition, surveying, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and geotechnical engineering, as well as addressing State and local environmental issues. Upgrades are needed due to the age of the dry well, pumps and other mechanical equipment in addition to concerns over drywell and wet well access.
The objective of the predesign effort is to define upgrades to, or replacement of, the Pump Station which will result in improved reliability, improved safety for operation and maintenance personnel, provide more accurate and reliable flow monitoring capability, improve efficiency, and substantially eliminate overflows. The predesign effort shall define and describe alternatives analyzed, recommend one alternative, and define the recommended alternative scope of the design and construction required to complete the project. Results are to be published in a report that includes the project description, constructible upgrade recommendations, budget level cost estimates, and an implementation schedule.
