NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF PORTLAND, OREGON PROPOSED EXEMPTION FROM COMPETITIVE PROCESS The City of Portland, Oregon, has scheduled a public hearing on Wednesday, February 5th, scheduled City Council Meeting, in the Council Chambers at 1221 SW Fourth Avenue, Portland, Oregon, 97204 to hear public comments on a recommendation by Procurement Services and Portland Parks and Recreation (PP&R) to exempt the Parklane Park Construction Project (Project) from the requirements of competitive bidding under ORS Chapter 279C and City Code Chapter 5.34, and to utilize an alternative competitive solicitation process. The exemption will allow the City to pursue a Request for Proposals process to select a Construction Manager / General Contractor for the Project. The project involves the development and construction of 25 acre park by the Parklane and Harold Oliver Elementary Schools in the Centennial neighborhood. The cost for the construction of the Project is estimated at approximately $8,500,000.
