NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Zoning code text amendment file TXT-2020-01. On Tuesday, February 18, 2020, beginning no earlier than 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Gladstone City Hall, 525 Portland Ave., Gladstone, Oregon, the Gladstone Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider amendments pertaining to Accessory Dwelling Units in the City’s Single Family Residential Zoning Districts, R-7.2 Chapter 17.10 and R-5 Chapter 17.12 of the Gladstone Municipal Code, subject to Oregon House Bill 2001. House Bill 2001 prohibits local governments from requiring additional off-street parking and owner-occupancy requirements for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). The law provides an exception for ADUs that are used for vacation rentals. Therefore, the proposed text amendments will remove the additional off-street parking and owner-occupancy requirements for ADU’s in the R-5 and R-7.2 Zoning Districts unless they are used as vacation rentals. This proposal is subject to Chapter 17.68, Amendments and Zone Changes and Chapter 17.94, Hearings, of Title 17 of the Gladstone Municipal Code and is available for inspection at Gladstone City Hall and at the Clackamas County Building Services Building, 150 Beavercreek Road, Oregon City, Oregon, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A copy of the proposal is available for a reasonable cost.
