CPA2019-0005 (Downtown Regional Center Comprehensive Plan Update)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2020, the City Council of the City of Beaverton will hold a public hearing to consider the legislative amendment described below. The City Council will meet at the Beaverton City Hall Council Chambers on the first floor of The Beaverton Building, 12725 SW Millikan Way, Beaverton, Oregon. CPA2019-0005 (Downtown Regional Center Comprehensive Plan Update) The City of Beaverton proposes to amend the Comprehensive Plan by: Modifying the Land Use Element (Volume I, Chapter 3); Modifying the Housing Element (Volume I, Chapter 4); and adopting a new Downtown Beaverton Regional Center Community Plan (Comprehensive Plan Volume V: Community Plans) by repealing and replacing the existing text in the current Downtown Beaverton Regional Center Community Plan (2005). The proposed amendment is intended to help the city implement the Downtown Urban Design Framework, which the City Council approved in fall 2018 as part of the Downtown Design Project. These changes will put new information, ideas, and policies in the Comprehensive Plan based on the community-informed Downtown Design Project. No land use designation changes or zone changes are proposed as a part of this amendment. Approval criteria for Comprehensive Plan Amendments include: 1.5.1.A.1-3 of the Comprehensive Plan. You may review a copy of the staff report and all other documents related to the proposed amendment at the City’s Community Development Department public counter on the fourth floor of The Beaverton Building. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The staff report is also be available on the project web site at: https://apps2.beavertonoregon.gov/DevelopmentProjects/ Failure to raise an issue prior to or at a hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to afford the decision-making authority an opportunity to respond to such issue, may preclude appeal to a court of competent jurisdiction on that issue.
