PUBLIC NOTICE CONDITIONAL USE – PERSONAL USE AIRSTRIP PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Crook County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, to consider the following: Conditional Use- Personal Use Airstrip Melvin (Russ) & Kristy Cooper (owners) – (Record number 217-20-000453-PLNG) are requesting a modification for a conditional use denial (record number 217-20-000116-PLNG) to construct a personal use airstrip. The modification reflects repositioning the airstrip further to the east on the property, and having landings and takeoffs to the east. Personal use airstrips are defined in Crook County code18.08 (Definitions) and are allowed as conditional uses under Crook County Code 18.16.015, and 18.16.020 (Exclusive Farm Use Zone), 18.160 (Conditional Uses), and ORS 215.283 (Oregon Revised Statute) and OAR 660-033-130(5) and (7) (Oregon Administrative Rules). The property is identified as 15S, 17E, Tax lot 810 and is located at 9395 SE Paulina Highway, Prineville, Oregon 97754. A notice of public hearing and location maps are being mailed to all affected property owners, and to the appropriate entities and public agencies at least 20 days prior to the Planning Commission hearing. The hearing is being held pursuant to Crook County Code 18.172. Written testimony may be submitted to the Crook County Community Development Department, 300 NE 3rd Street, Room 12, Prineville, Oregon 97754, prior to 4:00 p.m. on June 17, 2020, or during the hearing.
