Pursuant to Section 50.45.4 of the Beaverton Development Code, public notice of the following application is being provided: Costco Tire Center Addition (CU2020-0001 / DR2020-0019) The applicant requests Major Modification of a Conditional Use and Design Review Three approval for Costco Tire Center to allow an approximately 1,300 square foot building addition and expand the existing use for two new service bays. Plans for the proposed application are available by request from the project planner, see staff contact below. The subject site is located at the northwest corner of SW Jenkins Road and SW 158th Avenue at 15901 SW Jenkins Road, specifically identified on Washington County Assessor’s Map 1S105CC as Tax Lot 500. NOTE: The City of Beaverton has declared a State of Emergency due to COVID-19 and the Community Development Division is closed to the public until further notice. The Planning Commission has been holding remote meetings via an online meeting platform. The decision-making authority for the above application is the Planning Commission, which will review the proposal in accordance with the approval criteria contained in Development Code Section 40.03 Facilities Review, 40.15.15.2.C Major Modification of a Conditional Use and 40.20.15.3.C Design Review 3. Failure to raise an issue in a hearing, by testifying in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence with sufficient specificity to afford the decision-making authority an opportunity to respond to such issue, may preclude appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals on that issue. The Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing on the above application on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The meeting may be held via a virtual meeting platform, please contact the project planner for information on the meeting venue. All Planning Commission meetings can be watched live online via the City’s website. Pursuant to Section 50.88 of the Beaverton Development Code, written comments or exhibits submitted prior to the hearing to be submitted by staff at the hearing must be received by the City Recorder no later than 4:30 p.m. on the day of the scheduled hearing. All submittals that are more than two (2) letter size pages must include no fewer than ten (10) complete copies of the materials being submitted. Mailed written comments shall be sent to the Planning Division, PO Box 4755, Beaverton, OR 97076. Written comments submitted in person shall be delivered to the Planning Division, 4th Floor, Beaverton Building, 12725 SW Millikan Way. Copies of the staff report will be available for inspection at the Planning Division Planning Counter or may be purchased at reasonable cost or are available for on-line viewing at www.beavertonoregon.gov.
