Notice is hereby given that the Beaverton City Council will consider adjustments to Water Meter Installation Fees

Notice is hereby given that the Beaverton City Council will consider adjustments to Water Meter Installation Fees, establishment of fees for two (2) new Land Use Applications, and establishment of a Technology Fee related to development and construction activities at their regularly scheduled meeting of Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. It is proposed that the existing Water Meter Installation Fee for 2 inch and smaller meters be adjusted according to the current costs for labor and materials. The Water Meter Installation Fee Schedule establishes fees related to the cost of installing a water meter for a new or upsized service. The adjusted fee is to be updated within the Building Division System Development Fees (SDC) Schedule. It is proposed that fees be established for two (2) Conditional Use land use applications, Conditional Use: Interim Washington County Use Type 1 and Conditional Use: Interim Washington County Use Type 2, within the Planning Division Fee Schedule. In March 2020 the City Council adopted changes to the Development Code including the addition of these two (2) applications. The fees proposed for these applications are consistent with the fees for other land use applications which require similar levels of review. It is proposed that a Technology Fee of three and one-half percent (3.5%) be established within the Planning Division Fee Schedule (fees related to land use review), the Site Development Division Application, Review & Inspection Fees Schedule (fees related to civil engineering construction), and the Building Division Permit Fee Schedule (fees related to building construction) for permits, development and plan review, approval and issuance, inspections and other related activities.
