METRO METRO CENTRAL TRANSFER STATION – COMPACTOR MOVES Bids due: January 26, 2021 @ 2:00 pm INVITATION TO BID ITB 3896 Metro is inviting bids to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to remove one compactor and relocate a second compactor at Metro Central Transfer Station. Contractor shall: — Remove and dispose of one (1) large solid waste compactor — Reroute all hydraulics, controls, reader board, and power, as necessary — Relocate another compactor — Demolish utilities back to the facility structure — Connect and commission compactor in its new location. — Provide technical support for interfacing the relocated compactor with the new conveyor controls. Bids are due no later than 2:00 p.m. January 26, 2021 in Metro’s business offices at 600 NE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR 97232-2736, Attention: Julie Hoffman, Procurement Analyst, ITB 3896. Responses will be opened publicly at that time. A voluntary Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for all potential prime and sub-contractors on January 14, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. at Metro Central, located at 6161 NW 61st Avenue, Portland, Oregon. Because of the State of Oregon’s social distancing policy, no more than 10 people are allowed to tour the site at one time. Each potential bidder is limited to one attendee. All attendees shall bring personal protective equipment (close-toed shoes, safety vest, hard hat, eye protection and a face mask). The conference will be held at 9:00 am. Attendance will be per RSVP. If the first conference fills up we will hold another at 10:00 am. All bidders submitting a bid for public improvements over $50,000 certify that they will pay and comply with the minimum prevailing wage requirements of ORS 279C.800-279C.870 and if applicable 40 U.S.C.276a. Solicitation documents can be viewed and downloaded from the Oregon Procurement Information Network (ORPIN) at http://orpin.oregon.gov/open.dll/ Metro may accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, or waive irregularities not affecting substantial rights if such action is deemed in the public interest.
