To: Peninsula Drainage District No. 1 and all freeholders, legal voters, and assessment payers within the district: PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT Peninsula Drainage District No. 1 (the Drainage District) has filed in Multnomah County Circuit Court a petition praying for judicial validation of the Drainage District’s Board of Supervisors’ decision to amend the boundaries of the Drainage District to bring certain properties back within the Drainage District (the Petition) as described in the plan for reclamation attached to the Petition as Exhibit 1 (the Plan for Reclamation). The proposed boundary amendment will help the Drainage District provide consistent services year-round, maintain and operate its assets at an appropriate level, and reduce the burden on the properties that are not yet under compression. If the Petition is granted, (1) the Drainage District’s boundaries will be amended as described in the Plan for Reclamation, and (2) the court will validate the regularity and legality of the Drainage District’s Board’s decision to amend the Drainage District’s boundaries as described in the Plan for Reclamation. Any person interested may at any time before 10 days after full publication of this notice appear and contest the validity of the proceeding or any of the acts or things enumerated in the Drainage District’s petition for judicial validation.
