Centennial School District 28j EXEMPTION FROM THE COMPETITIVE BIDDING PROCESS AND APPROVAL OF A QUALIFICATIONS BASED SELECTION PROCESS The Centennial School District will hold a virtual public hearing on March 10, 2021. The public hearing is for the purpose of taking comments on the draft findings for an exemption from the competitive bidding requirement (ORS 279C) for renovations and additions at Parklane, Patrick Lynch, Powell Butte and Meadows Elementary Schools. The exemption is to allow pre-qualification of general contractors to create a list of those that are determined, through a process, to be qualified to bid. Qualified general contractors will then compete in a competitive bid process for award of each contract. Public notices of which firms are qualified, where interested subcontractors and suppliers can access bidding documents, and due date and time for bids, will be given when the competitive bid process for each contract begins. The hearing will take place as part of the regular board meeting. Due to the coronavirus state-wide restrictions and in keeping with efforts of social distancing to reduce the spread of the coronavirus, the meeting of the Centennial School Board will be conducted online, rather than in person. Public Comment will not be taken verbally during the virtual meeting but will be accepted via email until 9:00a.m. on March 3, 2021.
