Regional SAFER Council Meeting

Regional SAFER Council Meeting The regional SAFER Council consisting of city representatives from Gresham, Fairview, Wood Village, Troutdale, and a Multnomah Rural Protection District 10 board member will be meeting via Zoom on March 4, 2021 at 5:30pm. The SAFER Council was created in regards to Fire service in East County. The goals of the SAFER Council: Determine the emergency response level for our regional service area. Perform a needs assessment required to meet service level expectations. Establish a SAFER proposal and alternate proposal to be presented for consideration by each City Council and District Board. The City and District leaders are in attendance to represent their constituents and determine a level of fire service response for the future. Union leadership is in attendance to provide professional expertise and to have first-hand fully transparent information to share with their membership on the progress of the council. Fire representatives are in attendance to facilitate the meetings. The recorded meeting is observable to the public. It will be posted along with minutes to the City of Gresham website.
