WASTE PREVENTION & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES 5-GALLON PAILS AND LIDS Bids due: April 21, 2021 @ 2:00 pm INVITATION TO BIDS ITB 3911 The Waste Prevention & Environmental Services division of Metro, a metropolitan service district organized under the laws of the State of Oregon and the Metro Charter, located at 600 NE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR 97232-2736, is hereby requesting bids for 5-Gallon Pails with Lids. DEADLINE, NAME AND TITLE OF PERSON DESIGNATED FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS Bids are due no later than 2:00 p.m., April, 21st, 2021. Bids are to be submitted electronically ONLY to http://bidlocker.us/a/oregonmetro/BidLocker. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK The contractor shall supply Metro with 5-gallon plastic pails with lids for the packaging of recycled-content latex paint. The pail material shall be 90-mil white HDPE plastic, with a corresponding white HDPE plastic tear-tab lid with o-ring gasket, and metal handle with plastic grip. The lid shall be intended for low viscosity liquids, have a tubular gasket installed, be heavy-duty approximately 90-mil construction, and form a secure seal upon reinstallation. Preference shall be given for recycled-content plastic material pails. The pails shall be decorated with both a front and back lithographed label, consisting of one black and one red ink. Metro will provide final print images to the contractor after the contract is awarded. Metro anticipates purchasing up to 30,000 pails per contract year. Metro does not guarantee purchasing any minimum or maximum quantity. Metro expects that orders shall be full truckload (FTL) quantities, delivered within fifteen (15) business days after Metro places the order.
